From Local Roots to Global Reach
inHive’s roots trace back to Future First, a UK charity founded to address the unequal access to alumni networks across schools.
Inspired by success in the UK, in 2013 we conducted a 9-country research project exploring how young people-particularly in low-resource communities worldwide-could benefit from alumni networks.
We discovered immense potential, but most institutions lacked the structures, expertise, and resources to build thriving networks. Originally launched as Future First Global, we partnered with trailblazers like EducAid in Sierra Leone and the CARE Foundation in Pakistan to connect students with mentors, industry insights, and career champions.
